A model for emergence of high pathogenicity avian influenza virus from outbreaks with low pathogenicity avian influenza virus

چکیده
In this article, we establish a mathematical model for emergence of high pathogenicity avian influenza (HPAI) viruses from outbreaks of low pathogenicity avian influenza (LPAI) A viruses (H5N2). The model is based on traditional mathematical epidemiology models and experiment evidences. It contains several submodels which are traditional SEIR models or SIR models. The experiments in [25] provide data about LPAI and HPAI virus transmission characters and evidence of double infection. Double infection means HPAI viruses can infect animals which are infected by LPAI viruses. We analyze our model and their submodels. We also carry ∗Corresponding author

Experimental Study on the Pathogenicity of Avian Influenza A/Ch/It/5093/99(H7N1) Virus in Chicken
In this study, the pathogenicity of A/Ch/It/5093/1999 H7N1 which had been isolated from chicken during the outbreak in Italy was assessed in chicken by experimental infection virus. Ten SPF chickens of four week-old were inoculated with this virus, and five chickens were inoculated with uninfected allantoic fluid. For determination of virus shedding, oropharyngeal and cloacal swabs were taken f...

Sixteen avian influenza (AI) H9N2 viruses were isolated from disease outbreaks in different parts of Iranduring (1998–2001). These AI isolates were used for pathogenicity, haemagglutinin (HA) gene variation andphylogenetic analysis. Results in both pathogenicity tests and HA gene cleavage site sequence detectionrepresented a non-highly pathogenic feature for all Iranian AI isolates studied. The...
متن کاملSequence Analysis and Phylogenetic Study of Hemagglutinin Gene of H9N2 Subtype of Avian Influenza Virus Isolated during 1998-2002 in Iran
Sequence analysis and phylogenetic study of hemagglutinin (HA) gene of H9N2 subtype of avian influenza virus isolates (outbreaks of 1998-2002) in Tehran province (Iran) were studied. Two sets of forward and reverse primers in highly conserved regions, based on sequences of HA gene in Genbank, were designed. PCR products of a 430-bp fragment of 16 isolates were sequenced and then were aligned wi...

Molecular characterization of non-structural gene of H9N2 subtype of avian influenza viruses isolated from broiler chickens in Iran
BACKGROUND: The H9N2 subtype of avian influenzaviruses (AIVs) have spread in Asia and Middle East countriesand have become a serious threat to poultry industry in Iran.OBJECTIVES:Characterization of genes of H9N2 subtype involvingin pathogenicity and diagnosis are crucial in control of avianinfluenza outbreaks. The Nonstructural (NS) gene and its proteinproducts (NS1 & NS2) are important as dia...
